Sisters in Common

I recently had the pleasure of reconnecting with one of my wonderful art buyers at the Capitola Art Festival, where I was helping a friend with their booth. I first met Kathy at the Mountain View Wine Festival many years ago when she commissioned an LED art piece from me. Over the years, we've stayed in touch, and when my “Life Comes Full Circle” series was released, she purchased the "Sisters" piece.
This artwork was especially meaningful to me because it honors the bond I share with my three sisters, particularly during the time we came together to care for our mother before she passed. As it turns out, Kathy also has three sisters, and the piece resonated deeply with her. Learning that this artwork touched her in the same way it touched me brought me to tears, reminding me of the power of connection that art can create.
Here is what Kathy had to say about my art:
“We have two pieces of Kristen's and absolutely love them! The first piece has followed us from a previous home to our current home and has found a place of prominence in our great room. The second piece is a newer acquisition. Kristen made it to symbolize she and her sisters caring for her dying mother. As I have three sisters and an ailing mother, it really spoke to me.”
